The English Garden
8th March 2016
Designs and Influences
A talk based on “Garden Design A Book of Ideas” followed by lunch.
At Gravetye Manor on Tuesday, 8th March 2016. Gathering at 12.00pm for the talk, with lunch at 1.30pm.
“Gardening”, as William Robinson stated, “is an inexhaustible art”, words that ring true as much today as over a century ago. But how do you choose a garden style under the myriad of alternatives? Creating your own patch of paradise and finding the right style to suit both you and your garden need not be daunting if basic parameters can be established. Heidi Howcroft’s talk, illustrated by exquisite photographs by Marianne Majerus taken from their internationally acclaimed book Garden Design A Book of Ideas offers solutions for a variety of situations and sizes from a new build to a revamp, whilst recognizing that it is better to work with, rather than against, nature.
£55.00 per person, aperitif, 2 courses and wines inclusive.
Smart casual.
